These trivet/trays are perfect for a table centrepiece, made from 100% natural rubber from the Amazon, combining the traditional know-how of indigenous communities with modern technology. Latex is extracted from Hevea Brasiliensis plantations (a tree native to the Amazon), with full respect for the forest's biodiversity.
Amazonian leaves are produced from a mold, where the rubber is poured before being mixed with natural and plant-derived dyes. The result is a 100% natural, biodegradable product made from renewable sources, without the use of petroleum or chemical derivatives.
More than 75 indigenous families from the Amazon are part of this cooperative.
This work greatly promotes the economic and social integration of these communities, as part of a sustainable artisanal project that perpetuates their harmonious life within the Amazon rainforest.
