For over one hundred years a hand-weaving mill has existed in the Irish village of Kilcar. In the 1970's, Studio Donegal was founded by Kevin and Wendy Donaghy with the goal of maintaining and preserving the long running tradition of hand-weaving in South West Donegal. Studio Donegal is an important part of the social fabric of the area. Tristan, Kevin and Wendy’s eldest son, has drawn together a small team of people with great skills and experience, who are dedicated to making an ongoing success of the business whilst keeping the crafts and skills involved alive.
